GAY PEOPLE

A question asked on a men's forum was. Why are there so many gay people these days ?

Personally I believe it's a combination of nature and nurture.

Nature - Some people are Gay by default, homosexuality has been observed elsewhere in the animal kingdom. I know 3 men who were obviously gay before they "came out". All were raised in traditional families with masculine, alpha male dads. Furthermore gay men do not need to hide anymore unlike in the old days where it was illegal. In my home town a pub was run successfully by a gay couple for several years. It's safe to say that 30-40 years ago they would have had bricks put through their windows.

Nurture - I read a book called "inside the firm" by Tony Lambrianou. (Kray twins associate). A third of the book details life during the 15 years he spent in prison. He estimates that 10% of men who were completely straight on the outside (often with wives and children), turned to homosexuality while on the inside. Often young men at their sexual peak serving long sentences.

This strongly suggests that "gayness" (for lack of a better term) falls on a spectrum. Under certain conditions like prison some people will turn that way. Obviously with the majority of young women chasing a small percentage of men, society is walking into a world where half of men are celibate. Other factors such as the constant feminisation of men would be a likely contribution.

Increasing homosexuality was a result of the mouse utopia experiment. https://youtu.be/5m7X-1V9nOs?t=262
