Marriage is a bad idea full stop. Since I'm not a religious right wing conservative I have no specific objection to gay marriage. If gay people want to put themselves through the legal and financial minefield that straight couples do then they are welcome to it.
I do see an actual benefit to gay marriage, the more of them there are then inevitably the more of them will fail. People will see courts treating both people equally in sharp contrast to straight marriage, where the law nearly always favours the woman.
